Privacy and cookies

How we handle the data of people who visit this site. In short: no cookies and no tracking; we only count visits, anonymously and in aggregate.

What data we process today

The site does not use cookies or analytics or advertising tools from other companies, and does not load content from other sites: fonts and videos are on our own server.

If you sign up to the platform, the platform privacy notice applies.

The only processing concerns the technical data of each visit, which the service hosting the site processes automatically to deliver the pages: IP address, date and time, page requested, browser type. We do not keep logs of individual visits.

We count visits with our own counter, which runs on the Brigaplan platform (app.brigaplan.ai). When you open a page, your browser sends it only the page, the language and the site you came from. We only store totals by day, page, language and referring site: no cookies, identifiers, IP address or browser type. The IP address is used only for a moment, to block anyone sending too many requests, and is not stored. If your browser asks not to be tracked (Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control), the visit is not counted.

Why, and on what legal basis

The technical data are needed to run the site and to protect it from abuse and attacks. The legal basis is the controller's legitimate interest in the security of the service (Article 6(1)(f) of the Regulation). We do not use them to profile you or for any other purpose.

Counting visits is also based on legitimate interest: it helps us understand which pages are useful and where visitors come from, so we can improve the site. The totals cannot identify you.

Who processes them for us

The site is hosted by DigitalOcean LLC (App Platform service, Frankfurt region, Germany) and reaches visitors through the content delivery network (CDN) used by DigitalOcean, which also has nodes outside the European Union. DigitalOcean processes the technical data as a processor, on our behalf. It is a US company: transfers outside the European Union are covered by the safeguards provided for by the Regulation, such as standard contractual clauses.

The visit counter runs on the Brigaplan platform, which is also hosted by DigitalOcean in the Frankfurt region.

For how long

We do not keep the technical data of individual visits. The counter totals are deleted after 13 months. The service hosting the site keeps the technical data only for as long as needed to deliver the pages and protect them from abuse, as described in its privacy policy, and then deletes them.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict its processing or to object to it, and for data portability (Articles 15 to 22 of the Regulation). Just write to the contact above.

If you think the processing is not lawful, you can lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (garanteprivacy.it).

None, neither technical nor third-party. That is why the site does not ask for your consent to cookies.
